Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Mian Shahbaz Sharif has proposed a minus PTI national government for the tenure of five years.

Talking on a private channel’s program on Wednesday, Shehbaz Sharif said that there should be a national government that would serve the country for five years.

Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday visited Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence and held a meeting on the current situation.

PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ahsan Iqbal attended the meeting while JUI’s Asad Mehmood and Ghafoor Haidari were also present.

Later both leaders, Shehbaz and Fazlur Rehman talked to the media and showed their confidence regarding success in the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Talking to the media, Shehbaz Sharif said there is an OIC conference on March 23 and they are with the OIC. He said despite differences with the government, they will welcome the guests and pay all respect to them.

On this occasion, a journalist asked Maulana Fazl that is the long march and public meeting of opposition being cancelled. Maulana Fazl did not reply to the question.

He informed the media that he was scheduled to visit Asif Ali Zardari to invite him in the long march. But, Maulana Fazl added that Asif Zardari during his visit to my home said, "He has already accepted it."

Earlier, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former President Asif Ali Zardari also reached the residence of Maulana Fazl in Islamabad on Wednesday evening and discussed the political developments on the no-confidence motion.

Zardari was received by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maulana Asad Mahmood, Ghafoor Haidari and others. They also discussed the plan of the PDM Long March.

The report said Asif Ali Zardari and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman discussed the political situation in the country and the government's attitude.

Both the leaders have agreed on the effectiveness of the no-confidence motion as a constitutional and democratic action of the opposition against the government.

After discussion, former President Asif Ali Zardari left for his own residence in Islamabad. Later, Shahbaz Sharif approached Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence to hold a meeting on the current situation.
