Viral video: Maulana Abdul Aziz throws Mufti Qavi out of Lal Masjid
A video showing Maulana Abdul Aziz ousting Mufti Abdul Qavi of Lal Masjid in Islamabad goes viral on social media.
The clip shows Mufti Qavi was inside the mosque office when Maulana Abdul Aziz appeared.
Maulana Abdul Aziz can be heard asking Mufti Qavi to leave the mosque premises and threatening to shoot him.
“If you come again, I’ll have you flogged, " Maulana Abdul Aziz warned, calling Mufti Qavi a ‘thug’.
Later, Mufti told the media that he went to Lal Masjid to offer Friday prayers.
"The mosque scholars took me to their office to ask about a religious matter," he said.
"That’s when Maulana Abdul Aziz came in and told me to leave."
"Maulana Abdul Aziz removed me from the House of God."
