The federal capital police have got the custody of PTI leader Shehbaz Gill on court orders, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Shehbaz Gill has been facing charges of passing "highly hateful and seditious remarks.”

A heavy contingent of police was deployed in and around the Adiala jail and the federal government sought the help of FC and Rangers.

Earlier in the day, sources in jail said Shahbaz Gill was being transported to DHQ Rawalpindi. The Punjab government issued the order and he is quite well, the insiders said.

In a statement, the Islamabad police said that Gill has not been subjected to torture during physical remand. Shahbaz Gill has not said anything like that whenever he has been presented in the court, the police stated, adding that he underwent medical checkups and the court too went through the reports regularly.
