Fatimah Jaffry vows to 'fight for herself and daughter' amid family court battle
Pakistani content creator and digital personality Fatimah Jaffry has offered an emotional glimpse into her ongoing legal battle, revealing how circumstances pushed her into a situation she once feared and how her daughter has become her strongest motivation to stand firm.
Taking to Instagram, Fatimah shared a picture of the entrance to the Family Court Malir in Karachi, where visitors, police personnel and lawyers could be seen around the premises. Alongside the image, she penned a deeply personal note reflecting on her decision to seek justice and confront the formal legal system.
“This was never a place I imagined myself being. But if I have made it this far, it is only because I am seeking justice. I was pushed to this point, to this situation, by circumstances I never asked for,” she wrote.
Reflecting on her fears, Fatimah admitted that courts, legal disputes and standing up for herself once intimidated her. However, she said her circumstances have changed her perspective and given her the courage to fight for herself and, above all, her daughter.
“I used to be afraid of all of this the courts, the battles, standing up for myself. But today, I know I have no choice but to fight for myself and, most importantly, for my daughter,” she added.
Concluding on a determined note, the digital creator wrote, “Sometimes, you don't choose the fight. The fight chooses you. And when it comes to my child, I will stand my ground.”
Fatimah’s emotional message comes amid the family court proceedings following the breakdown of her marriage to fellow content creator Shabbar Jaffry, also known as Shabbar Abbas Zaidi. The former couple’s separation has since developed into a legal dispute, with matters concerning their daughter Daneen, including custody and maintenance, becoming part of the proceedings.
Rather than going into detail about the ongoing case, Fatimah’s latest post focused on her personal resolve and the emotional weight of navigating the legal process as a mother.
