Motorway sections closed due to dense fog

Motorway sections from Faizpur  to Samundri (M-3) and from Lahore to Sialkot (M-11) have been closed due to dense fog, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

A spokesperson said that the measures have been adopted to ensure the safety of the motorists as the visibility has dropped drastically.

The motorists are directed to use front and rear fog lights and avoid unnecessary traveling.

The spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmad advised the motorists to prefer travelling in daylight.  

He said the duration of fog on national highways increased with the cold weather. “10 am to 6 pm are the best travel times during the foggy season,” he said adding that travelers should avoid over-speeding and maintain distance from the car ahead of them.
