Pakistan sends 27th batch of humanitarian aid to Palestine

Under the directive of the Prime Minister, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched a fresh batch of relief supplies to Palestine, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday. 

The 27th shipment, weighing 100 tons, was sent in cooperation with the Al-Khidmat Foundation via a special flight from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.

The relief package includes blankets, tarpaulins, clothing, and essential kits for women, aimed at addressing urgent humanitarian needs in the region. 

To date, Pakistan has sent a total of 27 aid shipments to Palestine, with a cumulative weight of 2,627 tons.

The departure ceremony was attended by Punjab Finance Minister MPA Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Punjab Housing Minister MPA Mian Bilal Yaseen. 

Officials from NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives from the government and Al-Khidmat Foundation, were also present.

Speaking at the event, officials reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Palestine during this challenging period and emphasised the government’s commitment to providing all possible assistance to meet their essential needs.
