PM Shehbaz Sharif makes 28 foreign trips in 2025

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif undertook nearly 28 foreign trips during the current year, with Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan emerging as his most frequently visited destinations, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.

According to diplomatic sources, the prime minister paid four visits each to Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan, underscoring Pakistan’s close diplomatic, economic, and strategic relations with the two countries.

The sources further revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the United Kingdom three times during the year. Of these, two visits were private, while one was an official tour focused on strengthening bilateral ties and engaging with the Pakistani diaspora.

In addition, the prime minister made two visits each to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, and the United States, with discussions centered on regional cooperation, economic partnerships, and high-level diplomatic engagement.

China, Pakistan’s longstanding strategic partner, was visited once by the prime minister during the year, diplomatic sources said.

The details of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s foreign travel reflect an active diplomatic outreach by the government, aimed at strengthening international relations and advancing Pakistan’s economic and strategic interests on multiple global platforms.
