SBP shares stats of foreign direct investment in Pakistan in Dec 2024

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Friday reported a foreign direct investment of $170 million in December 2024. 

According to the SBP, $65.5 million were taken out of the stock market in December last year, while $165 million were taken out of the government sector in the same period last year. 

He said that a foreign direct investment of $1.247 billion has been made in Pakistan in the ongoing financial year so far. 

Last year, he said, Pakistan had attracted a foreign direct investment of $1.179 billion in six months.
