Junaid Safdar out to take bride home
Junaid Safdar, the grandson of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, headed out with his barat procession from Jatiumra to Lake City on Saturday afternoon to take his bride home, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Junaid Safdar is tying the knot with Shanzeh Ali Rohale, and the wedding festivities have been organised with traditional elegance under carefully managed guest arrangements.
The barat drew senior political leadership, including Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz, along with federal and provincial ministers and other guests.

The celebrations have drawn significant public attention due to the family’s high profile.
Junaid Safdar’s mehndi ceremony was held yesternight, with glimpses from the event quickly making rounds on social media.

According to sources, approximately 350 guests attended the mehndi ceremony.
Hosted in a festive yet private setting, the mehndi reflected a blend of cultural charm and family warmth, in line with the Sharif family’s long-standing traditions.

Adding colour and energy to the night, renowned dancer Wahab Shah was specially invited to perform.
The walima reception will be held on January 18 at Jatiumra.
The walima is expected to be the largest gathering of the wedding festivities, with nearly 800 guests on the invitation list.
