DPM Dar chairs consultative meeting ahead of Pak-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission meeting
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday chaired the second inter-ministerial consultative meeting in preparation for the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission meeting which will be held in Abu Dhabi next week.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson, the meeting was attended by senior officials from the ministries of foreign affairs, economic affairs, interior, culture, railways, commerce, IT, privatization, food, energy, climate change, aviation, education, science and technology, health, inter-provincial coordination, electricity, petroleum.
Representatives of SIFC and State Bank of Pakistan also attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the progress in bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE. Opportunities for increasing investment between the two countries were also discussed. Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of further deepening and expanding economic and trade relations with the UAE.
