Huge fire destroys shops, houses, marriage hall, oil tanker in Kandiaro

A massive fire which erupted at a petrol pump in Bharia City engulfed the adjacent three houses and four shops and a marriage hall while several animals burnt alive, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Assistant Commissioner Shahid Sarki said that fire erupted in the oil tanker parked at a petrol pump which also engulfed a nearby marriage hall and several houses.

Residents of the area said that fire-brigade vehicles from Naushero Feroze, Town Kandiaro and Bharia Road reached the affected site and brought the fire under control.

The residents further revealed that fire-brigade vehicle of Bharia City Town which was purchased after spending millions of rupees was faulty.

They urged the administration that lot of illegal petrol pumps are operating in the locality which should be closed.
