The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended an increase in the price of petrol Rs1.90 per litre, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Ogra has forwarded a summary to the Petroleum Division in which it has recommended an increase in the price of petrol by Rs1.90 per litre and a hike in the price of diesel by Rs3.25 per litre.
The Ogra has recommended an increase in petroleum prices considering the fluctuation of the oil prices in the international market.
However, Ogra has also proposed to the government that it may opt out of increasing the petroleum prices by decreasing the levy tax ration on the petroleum prices.
A final notification will be issued after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan, the TV channel reported.
