Many wrestlers in WWE have achieved global fame over the years, making it difficult for fans to identify a single greatest performer in the company’s history.

However, a recent ranking by Sports Illustrated has named Stone Cold Steve Austin as the greatest WWE wrestler of all time, ahead of several legendary names, including The Rock and Hulk Hogan.

The magazine released its “Best WWE Wrestlers of All Time” list, placing Stone Cold at the top for his major role in transforming WWE into a global entertainment powerhouse during the late 1990s.

According to the publication, Stone Cold became the face of WWE’s famous “Attitude Era”, a period widely regarded as one of the most memorable in professional wrestling history.

His rebellious personality and rivalry-driven storylines continue to be remembered by fans around the world.

The wrestler was involved in iconic feuds with stars including The Rock and Triple H, while his matches and character played a key role in WWE’s rise over rival promotion WCW during that era.

Sports Illustrated ranked Hulk Hogan as the second greatest wrestler in WWE history, while The Rock secured the third position.

The rest of the top 10 included John Cena in fourth place, Roman Reigns in fifth, and The Undertaker in sixth.

Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, and Bruno Sammartino were ranked from seventh to tenth, respectively.
