World Bank’s Green Development Program yet to kick-start

The 40 billion dollar Green Development Program of the World Bank is yet to be completed since Punjab Government’s performance on the initiative has dissatisfied the World Bank, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Despite taking loans, the Punjab government has reportedly failed to achieve the program's goals.
It merits here to mention that the World Bank released 20 billion to the Punjab government for this project.
Despite that there have been delays in the installation of an air quality monitoring systems for reducing smog.
Even the purchasing of electric buses, according to sources, is still up in the air.
The representatives of the World Bank were only satisfied with false hopes and hollow promises and the performance of the Punjab government on the World Bank funded project was not even 50 percent.
Another instalment of $102 million has also been delayed due to the Punjab government’s subpar performance.
