Punjab Bar Council announces final election results

The Punjab Bar Council on Monday released the final results of its province-wide elections after approval from the Returning Officer, confirming the victory of 75 candidates from various districts.

According to the official list, 16 candidates secured seats from Lahore, where competition remained especially fierce. A total of 77 candidates had contested from the Lahore constituency, making it one of the most closely watched races in the province.

Lahore Results

From Lahore, Owais Ahmed Bhatti topped the list with 6,536 votes, followed by Sameera Hussain with 5,995, Shahzad Khan Kakar with 5,754, Malik Adeel Ehsan with 5,663, and Mian Asif Ali with 5,593. 

Other successful candidates include:

  1. Abbas Ali Chadhar – 5,583 votes
  2. Malik Maqsood Khokhar – 5,549 votes
  3. Mian Yasir Siddique – 5,328 votes
  4. Malik Sohail Murshid – 5,163 votes
  5. Rehan Ahmed Khan – 5,149 votes
  6. Rana Zameer Ahmed Jhidu – 5,096 votes
  7. Chaudhry Zubair Ahmed Kasana – 4,965 votes
  8. Abid Hafeez Virk – 4,832 votes
  9. Mian Imran Pasha – 4,801 votes
  10. Rana Haseeb Ahmed Khan – 4,651 votes
  11. Shahid Maqsood Bhulla – 4,647 votes

Results From Other Districts

From the Kasur seat, Sardar Nabi Ahmed secured a strong victory with 7,018 votes, marking one of the highest tallies recorded in the election.

In Sheikhupura, Omar Hayat Bhatti emerged successful with 6,259 votes, while Khalid Hussain Sindhu won the Nankana Sahib seat with 5,651 votes.

The council also confirmed that four candidates were declared successful from the Faisalabad seats.

The newly elected members will now assume their responsibilities in representing the legal community across Punjab, following one of the most competitive elections in recent years.
