Global cricket community backs Pakistan over cancellation of New Zealand tour

National and international cricketers Friday termed the cancellation of the Pakistan versus New Zealand series just a killing of the cricket on the globe.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the series was called off by the Black Caps only minutes before the first match was due to start in Pakistan.

Different cricket legends and start cricketers reacted over the matter on the twitter and criticized the Kiwis for canceling their tour to Pakistan despite assurance of tight security during the tour.

Ramiz Raja

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja declared the day of cancellation of cricket match from New Zealand a “Crazy Day” and felt sorry for the fans and players of Pakistan.

Ramiz said walking out of the tour by taking a unilateral approach on a security threat is very frustrating. He said that the NZ would not hear Pakistan in ICC on the issue.

He criticised the NZ saying on a HOAX threat they had called-off the tour despite all assurances.

Shoaib in another tweet recalled New Zealand to remember that 9 Pakistanis were killed in the Christchurch attack but Pakistan remained to stand with New Zealand. He mentioned that Pakistan toured NZ in the worst of corona epidemic there.
