Notorious dacoit gunned down; three arrested in two police encounters

An under-custody accused died after some of his accomplices opened fire on a Crime Control Department (CCD) team in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV on Wednesday.
CCD Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) sources said that they were taking an accused who was identified by Ashfaq for recovery.
On their way, some accomplices of the accused attacked the CCD team. During heavy exchange of fire, dacoit Ashfaq received gunshots from their accomplices and died on the spot.
Later, the dacoit companions flee from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness. 
 The CCD team shifted the dead body of the dacoit to the hospital’s mortuary for a post-mortem.
During the firing, CCD personnel lay on the ground and the vehicles in a bid to save themselves.
All the CCD personnel remained unhurt, mysteriously, during the encounter.
Three dacoits arrested during police encounter in Khairpur
Three dacoits were arrested during a police encounter in Khairpur Nathan Shah. Police also recovered the snatched vehicle, motorcycle, and animals from their possession.
Police sources said that after taking notice of the police party, the accused, who were on board a car, opened fire on them. 
Later, the police recovered a car that they had stolen from Karachi.
