Heavy rain and thunderstorms batter tribal areas of DG Khan

Heavy rain and thunderstorms have battered the tribal areas of Dera Ghazi Khan, triggering flash floods and disrupting daily life in the region.

The flash floods have extended from Koh-e-Suleman to Sakhi Sarwar and surrounding areas, blocking roads and pathways as rainwater continues to flow through the area. Agricultural land has been submerged and damaged.

The water has entered homes and streets, leaving tribal communities stranded and facing severe hardships in commute and in accessing essentials.

The situation has raised national concerns over the preparedness of provincial arrangements to deal with the effects of the monsoon season, with residents facing the consequences of heavy rainfall and flooding.
