The federal government on Tuesday raised gas prices up to 14 percent on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, OGRA approved 14 percent increase in the gas prices of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

While the gas prices for the Sui Southern Gas Pipelines Limited (SSGPL) have been increased by up to 7 percent on the recommendations of OGRA.

As per the report, the increase in gas prices would take effect after the issuance of the notification from the federal government.
