Pakistan army rescue and relief efforts are underway in various flood-hit areas of Balochistan and Punjab, said a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Thursday.

Army troops are busy in relief activities in DG Khan, Rajanpur, NaseerAbad and Lasbela.

The affected population and their belongings are being shifted to safer places. Army medical teams are providing medical care to affected people.

At least 11 people died and many sustained critical injuries in different flood related incidents in Balochistan.

In Qila Abdullah, Machka Dam broke which left hundreds of houses and many link roads washed away in flash flood. It also forced thousands of people to migrate.

Besides, Kalmati Goth and Nasib Khaskheli Goth of Lasbela were submerged after Rori Nullah and Mithi Nullah were flooded due to heavy rains.

From the Kalamati Stop, the water came to the national highway, leaving hundreds of passengers trapped in the flood.

Other areas including Bahadur Khan Kalmati Goth, Bahram Khan Kalmati Goth and Natha Khan Kalmati Goth were amongst the worst flood-hit areas.

The people of the Kalamati Goths started moving to safe places.

In Kohlu city and its surroundings, it has been raining since last night. Mud houses collapsed due to rain, and there is a threat of flood in the area again.

In Sanghar, Sindh, eight people sustained injuries in roof collapse incidents due to heavy rain at night.

The continuous rain for 22 hours in Sanghar also broke 30-year record, causing the local streams and nullahs to be flooded and leaving low-lying areas submerged.
