Four Senate candidates have been elected unopposed from, Punjab according to the Punjab Election Commissioner.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz both won two seats each unopposed.

Two lawyers, PTI’ Ali Zafar and PML-N’s Azam Nazir Tarar have been declared the winners on technocrats seats.

Similarly, PTI’s Dr Zarqa and PML-N’s Sadia Abbasi have also won the women seats for Senate.

All the four were declared winners after the covering candidates from their respective parties withdrew their nomination papers, paving the way for the main candidates to win unopposed.
