Improper service structure in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab has been affecting its efficiency and depriving the staff of their due rights. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the technical staff of BS-5 to BS-16 of CTD recruited in 2016 were not given equal scales as the technical employees of the special branch. 

The sources said BS- 9 has been given for the technical post of Supervisor and BS-7 for Assistant Supervisor in the CTD Punjab. On the other hand, BS-14 has been given to Supervisor and BS-9 to Assistant Supervisor in the Special Branch. 

They said that the staff of CTD Punjab Technical Cadre was regularized in 2020 but their grade was not made equal to other departments.

Apart from this, Counter Terrorism Allowance has not been paid to these employees for four years even though the employees have been performing high-risk services.

The situation is creating unrest among the staff and also affecting the efficiency of the institute badly.
