Lahore police arrest kite seller with illegal chemical string

Lahore police intercepted the sale of over 100 colourful kites, four reels of chemical-coated string, and two additional ropes by arresting a kite vendor in Badami Bagh, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

The accused, identified as Nasir, was reportedly selling kites at various locations throughout the city. 

According to police, he used local transport and cardboard boxes to discreetly distribute the kites and evade law enforcement.

The seized items are estimated to be worth thousands of rupees, and authorities have registered a formal case against the suspect. 

An investigation is currently underway to determine the full scope of the illegal kite-selling network and to prevent future sales of hazardous kites in the city.
