Weekly inflation report released

The statistic bureau released weekly inflation report on Friday. A total of 23 items were on the index.

The price of onion was reportedly increased by Rs7.52 – from Rs226.41 per kg to Rs233.93 per kg.

According to the report, the rates of sugar surged from Rs82.96 per kg to Rs85.32 per kg, egg from Rs125.58 per dozen to Rs129.14 per dozen, potato from Rs60.92 per kg to Rs62.27 per kg, yoghurt from Rs111.66 per kg to Rs113.94 per kg, mutton Rs949 per kg to Rs944 per kg, milk Rs98 per litre to Rs99 per litre

It added the rate of tomato was cut from Rs96 to 80 per kg, flour bag from Rs1042 to Rs959. The price of pulses were also cut, the report said.
