DC empowered to adopt Muharram peace measures

The Home Department has empowered the DCs to adopt measures to maintain peace during Muharram in the relevant districts.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the provincial government empowered DCs to issue detention orders, impose a ban on hate-mongering speeches.

The DCs have also been given powers to ban inter-district movements.
