Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday ordered officials to make preparations for observing Al-Quds Day and hold protests against the Israeli brutalities in Palestine on Friday, 24NewsHD reported.

The PM chaired a meeting of government spokespersons. On the occasion, the PM said he would anything for the rule of law. He said Shehbaz Sharif was involved in the corruption of billions of rupees. He said he did not have any personal issues with anyone but those who looted the country could not be freed.

The meeting was briefed about the contempt of court petition filed by Shehbaz Sharif against his name being placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) despite the Lahore High Court order.

The PM added that “there will be no compromise on supremacy of law and accountability”.

Apart from the situation in Palestine, the government’s economic team briefed the spokespersons on the country’s economic outlook. The officials told the meeting that Pakistan’s economic indicators were “positive” despite the coronavirus pandemic. They were told that the exports and remittances of the country were steadily increasing.

The PM said that the country’s economy was on the right track due to the initiatives taken by the government. The PM said that the country’s exports have increased by 13.50% and the current account was in surplus.
