Board exams to be held in any case, declares NCOC

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to refer the matter of opening the educational institutes to the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC), reported 24 News HD TV Channel.
The NCOC meeting was held in Islamabad on Tuesday in which the Ministry of Health briefed the participants of the meeting about the current situation of Covid-19 in the country.
It has been decided to refer the matter of reopening educational institutes to the IPEMC. But it has also been decided that board exams all across the country will be held in any case.
However, the meeting decided that the IPEMC will take decisions regarding holding of examinations and students’ promotion to the next grades.
According to sources, the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference will hold its meeting before May 23. And schools will start taking 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades classes in the first phase of reopening, sources added.
