Pakistan, Turkey to jointly move UNGA over Palestine issue

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s direction would leave for the USA along with Palestinian, Turkish, and Sudanese counterparts to raise the issue of Israeli aggression in the UN General Assembly.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, Qureshi on Tuesday met Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and agreed to raise the issue of Israeli attacks on Palestinians in the United Nation General Assembly (UNGA) unitedly.
Qureshi arrived in Turkey capital on a diplomatic mission to support Palestinians as Pakistan would not leave them alone. He would deliver a special speech at the UNGA session of debate on the situation in the Middle East after tomorrow (May 20).

During his visit to New York in the United States, he would also highlight the stance of Pakistan before the international media on Palestine.
He praised the efforts of Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the Palestine issue especially when the Muslim community was hurt by Israeli attacks in the holy months of Ramazan and Eid Days.
Both, Pakistani and Turkish ministers condemned the Israeli attacks. Mevlut hosted a luncheon reception to the Pakistani delegation on a diplomatic mission.

After the meeting, Qureshi on a Twitter message said, “Nothing can shake our resolve as we stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Palestine in their legitimate right to self-determination & establishment of an independent state with pre-1967 borders & Al Quds Al Shareef as capital.”
In the same way, Mevlut tweeted a massage that mentioned his meeting with Qureshi and their discussion on Israeli aggression in Palestine, bilateral relations, and the Afghan peace process too.

Qureshi declaring the next 48 hours critical said their delegation would await the Palestinian FM to join them in Istanbul. He coined an opinion that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and some other countries were also playing their role. He said he would represent the feelings of the Pakistani people as well as the unanimous parliamentary resolution at the UNGA.
He further stated that despite political changes and tough financial circumstances, Pakistan remained steadfast to its policy on Kashmir and Palestine and resolved to keep doing so.
