CAA website attacked by Indian hackers

The official website of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority came under an attack by an Indian hacker duo early Wednesday, however the IT team of the Authority restored the website after a brief interval, with no data loss.

The website of the Civil Aviation Authority was hacked by an Indian duo with the twitter handles of: Mr. Beast @__mr_beast and @D_Pkcg who in a post on twitter claimed that “all Database” have been hacked by the two. A picture was posted on the home page with some profanities. However several links on the website continued to be worked.

While there was no official word from the Civil Aviation Authority, the website was back on line after a brief interval. The hackers could only make some changes on the News and Events section on the homepage.

However, the cyberattack, though minor without any data loss by the Indian hackers, calls for further strengthening of all the government, semi-government and private websites on a priority basis.

On Tuesday, the website of the Sindh Investment Department was hacked, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. The hackers left a 'warning message' on the front page of the website asking the government to shut down schools immediately and does not play with the lives of the students who are the assets of the nation.
