Three more die in Lahore; 225 dengue cases reported

The situation with respect to the dengue fever in Lahore is grim as 225 more infections and three deaths were reported from the provincial capital during the last 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to the Punjab health department, the number of dengue patients at the city’s hospitals has now exceeded 1, 10.
The department said that with three more deaths, the number of people dying from the virus in the city during the last three months now stands at 70.
The department further said that its teams killed the dengue larvae at 159 spots of the city during the last one day.
110 cases reported from KP:
As many as 110 cases of the virus were reported from different parts of Khyber Pakhunkhwa (KP) during the last 24 hours, thus taking the number of positive cases in the province to 9,613.
According to the KP health department, nine fatalities have been reported this dengue season.
The department informed that 68 patients are currently admitted at province’s hospitals. “Of 110 more cases of the virus reported, 84 were from Peshawar, thus taking the number of existing patients in the provincial capital to 5068,” it disclosed.
Besides Peshawar, five cases of the disease were reported from Khyber.
The health department informed that 216 people also recovered in the province during the last 24 hours.
