The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) on Tuesday decided to replace 12,60,000 old single and three-phase meters with static meters by the end of June 2023, reporter 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The Ministry of Power Division's directive along with notification to replace outdated non-static meters with static ones by June of the next year prompted Lesco to take this decision. 

Following the notification, 231,000 meters will be changed in the company's Northern Circle.

Meanwhile, 149,000 meters will be changed in the Central Circle and 240,000 meters in the Eastern Circle respectively. 

Moreover, in South Circle, 155,000 non-static meters will also be changed.
