MNA’s father accused of threatening Hafizabad health officers

Mehdi Hassan Bhatti, the father of MNA Shaukat Bhatti from Hafizabad, was Tuesday accused of hurling death threats at the local health authorities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Capt (r) Asad Akram, Medical Superintendent of Hafizabad District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, and the chief executive officer (CEO) of Hafizabad District Health Authority wrote a letter to the police authorities.
In their letter, they blamed Mehdi Hassan Bhatti for threatening them with death for holding a press conference with the Tevta chairman, who is also an MPA.
“Mehdi Hassan Bhatti phoned and threatened us,” alleged Capt (r) Asad Akram.
“The CEO Health had been appointed three days ago. Mahdi Hassan Bhatti wanted the officer of his choice,” he added.
“Efforts are being made to provide better treatment facilities to the citizens,” he stated.
