Pakistan targets Gul Bahadur group in Afghanistan's Paktika province; 70 terrorists killed

Pakistani security forces effectively targeted terrorist hideouts of the Khariji Gul Bahadur group in Afghanistan's Paktika province on the night of October 17, security officials said on Saturday.

According to verified information from intelligence sources, more than 70 Khariji of Gul Bahadur group, including important Khariji commander, were killed in these strikes.

The Khariji Gul Bahadur group is involved in major and numerous acts of terrorism in Pakistan. The group is involved in terrorist attacks in Pakistan from Afghanistan, security officials said.

On October 17, the same group carried out a failed VBIED attack in Khadi, North Waziristan, security officials said. Three women, two children and a young man were martyred in the attack, security officials said.

Among the key Khariji leaders killed in the strikes on the Khariji Gul Bahadur group on the night of October 17 are Khariji Farman alias Al-Karamah, Khariji Siddiqullah Dawar, Khariji Ghazi Madakhel, Khariji Muqrab and Khariji Qasim Allah, security officials said.

In addition, Khariji leader Gulab alias Deewan, Khariji Rahmani, Khariji Adil and Khariji Fazlur Rehman were killed, security officials said.

Khariji Fazlur Rehman, who was killed, is a close relative of Khariji Gul Bahadur, security officials said, adding that Khariji Ashiqullah alias Kausar and Khariji Younus were also neutralised in the strikes.

All of these were key leaders of Khariji Gul Bahadur and their killing is an important and big success, security officials said.
