Sindh Assembly passes TEVTA amendment bill 2026
Sindh Assembly passed an amendment bill related to Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), which was tabled by Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, provincial law minister, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
A resolution regarding the waiver of admission fees at technical education centres was also moved by MPA Qurat-ul-Ain Khan. Lanjar said the matter would be taken up after consultation with the Special Assistant for Technical Education.
A resolution against load shedding was also moved by Sajjad Ali, while Lanjar said a meeting on the issue was scheduled for September 23.
The Sindh Assembly also unanimously passed a resolution regarding the implementation of laws on the Finality of Prophethood (Khatam-e-Nabuwat).
MQM member Ijaz-ul-Haq moved the resolution, demanding that the federal and provincial governments ensure the implementation of the relevant laws. The resolution also called for the concept of Khatam-e-Nabuwat to be included in the curriculum. Law Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar expressed support for the resolution.
