Robbers loot ambulance in Dadu

Dacoits did not spare even an ambulance providing medical assistance to locals as they looted the vehicle at Indus Highway near Dadu on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources said that the incident occurred in Phulji village near Indus Highway.

The dacoits intercepted the ambulance and snatched mobile phone and currency from the driver of the ambulance namely Mansoor Chandio.

Sajjad Panhwar who is in-charge of the ambulance service said that “our NGO working under the name of Makhdoom Bilawal Welfare Association is providing health services to people of the area purely on humanitarian grounds.”

He said that after looting the driver of the ambulance the dacoits also taken away an oxygen cylinder which was installed inside the ambulance and other medical equipment being used in providing first-aid to patients.

He said that the incident occurred while the ambulances was returning from Mehar near Dadu.

He demanded the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dadu to take immediate notice of this incident and grant exemplary punishment to all accused who is involved in this heinous crime.
