Crackdown against online gambling applications, their promoters
National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) is intensifying its crackdown against online gambling applications and their promoters, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
In a press release, NCCIA claimed that billions of rupees were being gambled online in Pakistan through 46 applications.
According to the NCCIA, Saad-ur-Rehman, alias Ducky Bhai, was issued notice on the promotion of gambling through these apps. Dozens of people who promoted gambling through these applications have been investigated in this case.
NCCIA Director Sarfaraz Chaudhary said that there will be severe punishment for the people who play and promote online gambling.
