Mehrunisa Iqbal exposes a shocking set experience
Pakistani actress and model Mehrunisa Iqbal have opened up about a disturbing experience from the COVID-19 era, recalling how a senior actress allegedly reacted harshly after she returned to the set with a high fever.
Mehrunisa shared the incident while talking about her experience of working during the pandemic. She recalled working back-to-back while staying away from her family for long periods and admitted that she was not taking proper care of her diet. The exhausting routine eventually left her feeling weak and unwell.
According to Mehrunisa, she fell sick while shooting for a drama during the COVID period. She developed a high fever and asked the production team to arrange a car so she could go to the hospital for a check-up. She was taken to the hospital with a driver and later returned to the set.
After she came back, a senior female artist reportedly asked her what had happened. Mehrunisa said that when she explained that she had a fever and had gone to the hospital, the actress became upset and reminded her that COVID-19 was spreading at the time.
Mehrunisa recalled that the senior actress questioned why she had hugged her earlier and allegedly behaved very rudely towards her. She said the reaction made the situation even more uncomfortable, particularly because she was already feeling physically weak.
The incident reportedly reached the production team after the producer learned what had happened. Mehrunisa said that the producer and other members of the team confronted the senior actress and questioned her behavior.
While discussing the incident, Mehrunisa also raised a broader point about professional relationships in the entertainment industry. According to her, respect should not be based only on age or seniority, and younger artists also deserve to be treated with dignity.
The actress did not reveal the identity of the senior artist involved. Instead, she focused on the experience itself and the importance of maintaining respect between colleagues on a drama set.
