Punjab CM approves safe city projects in 17 cities
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired the 33rd meeting of the Punjab Safe City Authority in Lahore on Monday in which the safe city projects in 17 cities were given approval, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, the Safe City Project ‘DIC 3’ was approved in 17 cities of the province including Sialkot, Sargodha, and Sheikhupura in the first phase.
According to details, 831 cameras will be installed in four cities.
As many as 1,234 cameras will be installed in Attock, Jhang, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, and Rahimyar Khan in the second phase.
Moreover, more than 500 cameras will be installed in Jhelum, Murree, Mianwali, Muzaffargarh, and other cities in the third phase.
The establishment of safe city authority was also reviewed in other cities of Punjab.
Furthermore, the Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Additional IG, Chairman of Planning and Development, Home Secretary, CCPO, and concerned officials were also present in the meeting.
