Double decker buses arrive in Karachi, ready to hit on multiple routes

Modern double-decker buses have arrived in Karachi, ready to hit the roads soon, 24 News HD TV reported on Friday. 

This move by the Sindh government aims to cut traffic woes and boost commuting.

The buses have reached the Karachi Gateway Terminal, bringing excitement among residents eager for enhanced commuting options.

According to officials, the Sindh Transport Department’s double-decker buses were unloaded from a ship at Karachi Port and subsequently transported to the Karachi Gateway Bulk Terminal.

The buses are expected to add both capacity and aesthetic appeal to Karachi’s roads.

Transport department sources confirmed that the double-decker buses will operate on various routes across the city, providing improved travel facilities for commuters.

The buses will be formally introduced after completing port clearance and necessary documentation, following which they will be shifted to the depot.

The double-decker buses are expected to start plying on Karachi’s roads in the near future after final preparations are completed.
