Sindh government has launched 1414 helpline in Karachi to fight corruption in public departments.
The helpline will work through an associated app that would let citizens report a case of corruption.
Sindh Minister for Industries, Commerce and Anti-Corruption Establishment Ikramuallah Dharejo, who launched the app at a ceremony on Wednesday, expressed the hope that the step will help bring transparency in the public affairs.
“The app will help the masses to report complaints against corruption. Elimination of corruption is a top priority of Sindh government,” said Dahrejo in his speech.
He said the helpline is being launched in Karachi but it will be extended to other cities of Sindh also.
The federal government last year in December had launched the ‘Report Corruption’ app with an aim to eliminate corruption from the country.
