Mian Iftikhar, a spokesperson for the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), has said the multi-party alliance will continue demos for democracy.

The PDM will keep on holding long march and sit-in till the government is ousted, he said adding that ‘long march’ is for the supremacy of constitution and ‘national march’ is against the rampant inflation.

About Senate election, Iftikhar said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) said an amendment to the constitution is the only way to hold open voting.

Nothing is above the constitution and it should not be violated, he said stressing no one can use the power of the parliament.

The PTI wants to hold open ballot as it is worried about the disloyalty of its own lawmakers, he claimed.

A PDM body will meet the relatives of missing persons to express solidarity with them and it will approach all the persons concerned to get the issue resolved, he said.
