Delegation of US universities start Asia Spring Tour

A delegation of over 20 US universities on Wednesday attended a ceremony held in a private hotel in Karachi in connection with the Asian Spring Tour, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
During the ceremony, representatives from US universities highlighted the importance of education and guided students for availing scholarship opportunities in the USA.
Addressing the gathering, the US consul general said that lot of opportunities are available in the United States for those Pakistani students who want to avail themselves of scholarship opportunities in the USA.
The participants of the meeting were given comprehensive and important information about scholarships.
The Consul General said that currently there are 11,000 Pakistani students studying in the USA. The CG further said that this educational fair will also be held in Lahore and Islamabad.
The CG further said that according to a report from IIE, the number of Pakistani students reached its highest level.
The US diplomat said that EducationUSA Pakistan is the only platform that is providing credible and free information regarding higher education in the USA.
He said American foreign missions playing vital role in the promotion of higher education.
