Govt weighs to distribute cash among 39 lakh deserving families under PM Ramadan Relief Package

The federal government is planning to launch the largest Prime Minister Ramadan relief package which will be submitted before the federal cabinet for approval, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

There is proposal to offer cash to 39 lakh deserving families under Prime Minister's Ramadan Relief Package. One-time financial assistance of Rs5000 per family will be provided under the package. The Ramadan relief package budget has been estimated at Rs 20.5 billion rupees. Rs 10 billion for Ramadan package will be provided by the Ministry of Industry and Production. There is proposal that Rs 2 billion will be deducted from BISP budget for Ramadan package. The Finance Ministry will provide Rs 8.50 crore for Ramadan Relief Package. 

The media campaign expenses will be included in the Ramadan relief package budget, moreover, the charges of financial institutions, NADRA fees and other expenses will be included in the Ramadan package. For the first time the Prime Minister's Ramadan relief package is not being delivered through utility stores.
