Opposition leader Hamza Shehbaz Sharif called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi at the Assembly Chambers Saturday.

On this occasion, former Speaker Rana Mohammad Iqbal, Samiullah Khan, Mansha Ullah Butt, Ovais Khan Leghari, Malik Nadeem Kamran and Secretary Punjab Assembly Mohammad Khan Bhatti were also present.

Appreciating the efforts of Ch Parvez Elahi, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif said that holding of the assembly session in a peaceful atmosphere is an important step towards promoting democratic political traditions. He also congratulated Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi on completion of the new building of the assembly.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that Almighty Allah has blessed him with decorating the Punjab Assembly with Ayats and Ahadith pertaining to Khatam-e-Nubawwat (ﷺ), words are not enough to express my gratitude to Allah for this favour.

Once again thanking all political parties, MPAs and prominent ulema, he said that the new building of the Punjab Assembly reflects Islamic traditions in real meanings and interpretation of the aspirations of Pakistani people. Views were also exchanged during the meeting for running the assembly sessions in future also appreciably.
