Saudi Arabia bans Friday prayers
March 19, 2020 09:50 PM
Saudi authorities Thursday announced Friday prayers would be held at Khana Kaaba and Masjid-e-Nabvi only.
Other mosques are allowed to say Azan and people are told to offer Zohr prayers at homes, authorities ordered.
The announcement is part of the Kingdom’s measure to combat coronavirus.
They emptied the Khana Kaaba for sterilising a couple of weeks ago, followed by suspending Umrah and people's entry to Makkah and Medina, closure of malls, restaurants and cafes.
