Wife, brother-in-law, servant arrested for murder of Khairpur lawyer

Police arrested wife, brother-in-law and domestic worker for murdering renowned lawyer Liaquat Phulpoto in Khairpur, reported 24NewsHd TV channel on Wednesday.

The lawyer’s wife said that her husband tortured her and levelled baseless allegations against her.

Earlier on March 12, 2025, police recovered bullet-riddled dead body Liaquat Phulpoto in Khairpur.

The advocate was performing his duty as government lawyer in Sanghar. The incident occurred in the Saida Goth in the jurisdiction of Khairpur A Section Police Station.

Dacoits involved in murder of house owner nabbed

Khairpur police arrested four dacoits who murdered a house owner during robbery for showing resistance.

On the directives of SSP Khairpur Toheedur Rehman Memon, Khewari Police arrested four accused who were later identified as Qasim Chandio, Ajmeer Chandio, Gulmir Chandio and Gulbahar Chandio.

The accused barged into victim’s house for robbery and opened fire on him when he tried to resist them.

Police recovered two repeaters, one gun and one pistol from the possession of the accused.

Further investigation was under way.
