Rules for obtaining connection for charging stations amended

The federal government has amended the rules for obtaining connections for charging stations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

Under the amendment, a second connection for a charging station can be given at the same place. An electricity connection can be obtained by installing a second transformer at the same building and place. 

Earlier, only one connection could be given at one place on one point supply.

Approval has been given for a new connection by introducing a cheap tariff for electric stations. 

Consumers will be able to make the charging station operational only on the basis of a cheap tariff. 

The connection will be disconnected if the connection of the charging station is used for other purposes. Along with disconnecting the connection, additional bills will also be collected. 

Charging station owners will have to submit an affidavit to obtain the connection and an assurance will have to be given in the affidavit to use it for the charging station.
