Pakistan, Egypt agree to promote blue economy

Pakistan and Egypt agreed to increase cooperation in maritime and industrial sectors and resolve to promote the blue economy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

In an important meeting between the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs and the Egyptian Ambassador, it was also agreed to promote bilateral trade, appreciating the competitiveness and quality of Pakistani exports.

Maritime Affairs Minister proposed to establish "Pakistan Houses" in Africa, Central Asia and Egypt.

The project aims to enhance trade relations and promote investment.

Egyptian Ambassador offered to exchange experiences on the Suez Canal Free Zone and cooperate in Pakistan’s maritime sector.

The meeting discussed SIFC actively working to expand Pakistan’s maritime and industrial sector into international markets.
