Selena nonchalantly cleared the air about feud with Hailey Bieber

Selena Gomez told her fans to leave her ex, Justin Bieber’s wife alone in an Instagram story after Hailey was bashed for her statement in the Wall Street Journal Magazine Interview.

The newly married Selena spoke up following the uproar Hailey's comments in the magazine interview caused as some believed they were directed towards Calm Down hitmaker.

According to the foreign media outlets, Hailey during the conversation with the magazine was asked about potential comparisons between her brand, Rhode Beauty with that of Selena’s. To which, Bieber replied saying, “It’s always annoying being pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that.”

“When people want to see you a certain way and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that,” added Hailey.

Gomez, calmly and nonchalantly handled the situation taking to her Instagram stories.

The pop star wrote in a now-deleted story, "Just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. Doesn't affect my life whatsoever," seemingly referring to Hailey.

"It’s just about relevance, not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me. There is room for everyone. And hopefully we can all stop," Gomez further wrote.

This comes after Hailey Bieber talked about being compared to other beauty brands in an interview to discuss her own brand Rhode's $1 billion sale to E.l.f Beauty.

"I think there is space for everybody. I don't feel competitive with people that I'm not inspired by," Hailey added which fans believe she was referring to the Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez.

Hailey — who welcomed son Jack Blues, 1, with Justin last year — has also previously slammed fan theories about a “made-up” feud between her and Gomez, calling them not only “vile” and “disgusting,” but also potentially dangerous.

"I don't think that this is about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez," Hailey said while appearing on Bloomberg’s The Circuit in 2023. “This is not about this pitting between two women — it’s about the vile, disgusting hatred that can come from completely made-up and twisted, and perpetuated narratives that can be really dangerous."
