TTP terrorists arrested in Karachi police encounters
Five accused, including two terrorists of the banned outfit Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were arrested in three police encounters in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Amjad Shaikh said that two terrorists of TTP were arrested in an injured condition during a police encounter near Thando Nalo Bridge in the Malir area of Karachi.
The terrorists were later identified as Khalid and Adil. SSP Amjad Shaikh said that several bullets were fired at the police mobile van. Police also recovered two pistols and motorcycles from their custody.
SSP Amjad Ahmad Shaikh said that the injured terrorists were shifted to the hospital.
In another incident, which took place in the Orangi Town No. 5 area of Karachi, one man became seriously injured after receiving bullet wounds from an unknown location.
The injured man was identified as Sharjeel, who was 50. Another man, Atif, who was 34 years old, also became injured in the Baldia 24 Market area.
In Layari, a dacoit was caught by the citizens near Badal Chowk. Police said that the dacoit became critically injured due to torture by the citizens. He was identified as Najeeb, who was 18. He was shifted to the hospital.
Another police encounter in Orangi Town D-I Bus Stop two injured accused were killed. The accused were identified as Nazamuddin and Gulshan.
Both injured accused were shifted to the hospital.
The third police encounter took place in Korangi Sector D-33 in which one injured accused was arrested and another escaped from the scene.
Police also recovered cash and arms from their possession. In another police encounter in the Korangi Crossing area, one accused was arrested in an injured condition while his other accomplices fled from the scene.
The arrested accused was identified as Shan. Police recovered a pistol and a motorcycle from his possession.
